Ways to Get Involved
Parent engagement in schools is defined as parents, caregivers and school staff working together to support and improve the learning, development, and health of children. Studies have shown that students who have parents engaged in their school lives are more likely to have:
Higher grades and test scores.
Better student behavior.
Enhanced social skills.
The MCP PTO provides multiple ways for families to engage and get involved with the school. As a new and small group, every person who helps makes a huge impact. We are always looking for more volunteers to make this work sustainable. Provide your input by getting involved and get to know the other families, too!
